Be a catalyst for change today by becoming a scholarship sponsor, making a lasting impact on a student’s life, and propelling our Southeast Asian community forward.

Our Scholarship’s scholarship program is simple for sponsors.

Sponsors have the option to become either a SEED SPONSOR or a LEGACY SPONSOR.

Seed Sponsors - By sponsoring this scholarship, seed sponsors will entrust Our Scholarship team to create a scholarship based on the Wisconsin Southeast Asian student population’s needs. For example, if there is a need in the community to specifically help first-generation college students, the team will create a First Generation College Scholarship that is sponsored by the seed sponsor. Seed sponsors will not assist in creating the scholarship’s criteria.

Legacy Sponsors - By sponsoring this scholarship, legacy sponsors will have the ability to co-create a scholarship with the Our Scholarship team. This means that the legacy sponsor can help establish the scholarship’s criteria for who can apply. For example, a set of criteria could be:

  • Applicant must be a female currently residing in Milwaukee County, currently or planning to attend a 4-year college in Wisconsin.

Once a scholarship is funded and created, Our Scholarship will handle the judging process for all scholarship applications and will notify sponsors about the scholarship reception where sponsors will get to meet the recipients and be a part of the celebratory event.

Moreover, all scholarship donations are tax-deductible, creating a mutually beneficial situation for all involved.

How to Sponsor a Scholarship

In 3 Simple Steps

  1. Determine the amount you would like to donate to create the scholarship (must be above the minimum required).

  2. Contact the Our Scholarship team to set up a brief meeting about your scholarship sponsorship.

  3. Make your donations to Our Scholarship Inc. online or via check. Once the funds are received, the scholarship will be created for you or with you, depending on the sponsorship level. If you’d like to be an anonymous scholarship donor, please let the team know.
